Varietal Identification - Electrophoresis

Varietal identification is crucial where you have a potential contamination.

Varietal identification, which is also know as Electrophoresis is available for cereals only.

Varietal identification is crucial where you have a potential contamination from another variety in store or you’re unsure of what variety you have in unmarked bags, bins or storage areas. The most basic test will assess 14 grains and give varietal groups that this grain is similar to. Moving up from that we can assess more grains to show a variety admixture of 10% or more, or 5% or more.

All testing is carried out in our TASCC accredited laboratory, and we are also a Licensed Seed Testing Station for certified seed. Click here to view the full range of testing and analysis options we have available.
